Whilst trying to find out the meaning of CPU IERR messages I came across this little nugget of wisdom here:
The normal procedure is to replace any CPU that signals an IERR. More recently, the IERR signal is also triggered by non-CPU faults. Bus time-out’s, forward progress stalls in multi-processor configurations, evaluation versions of Windows operating systems and other non-hardware fault triggers have been identified that result in an active IERR signal
See, sometimes throwing money at a problem is the only solution!

is a bit like Triggers broom, two years ago it had a new hard disk installed, then in the last month it’s had three new screens, a new logic board and a complete new case new case fitted, the only things from the original system are the keyboard, dvd writer, battery & charger. Had to even called AppleCare to get the warranty moved over to the new serial number assigned to my system!!

If you spend a load of money on disks for your RAID array don’t be cheap & buy a £20 RAID controller then wonder why you can’t get to your data when a disk failure happends.
